Suppressing or hiding content

There are several scenarios when you need to suppress certain content. Let's look at some common scenarios and solutions in Parmonic.

  1. Bloopers or old, irrelevant content - your raw video might contain portions that need to be suppressed either because those portions contain old information or are faux pas.

Solution - you can remove portions of a video by using the 'Remove' option in the transcript review tab. Simply choose what you want to remove, and our engine will remove the audio and video portion associated with that. [Instructions]

  1. Visuals need to be suppressed but audio is ok - in this scenario your video may contain portions where the audio is fine but the video/visual component needs to be removed because a speaker's camera went out or his/her goat showed up on the screen or the slides were simply not right.

Solution - you can replace the video portion with cards while keeping the same audio. [Instructions]

  1. Blacklisted words - When the AI generates text (like video descriptions, titles, blog, etc.) it might include certain words that you may not want in order to be compliant. This usually applies to our customers in financial services, healthcare and legal verticals.

Solution - Enterprise plan customers can provide us with a blacklist of words to suppress in their account. These words will never appear in AI-generated text outputs.

  1. Footage of former employees - some videos may contain footage of former employees. If you want to remove portions/frames of your video where a former employee appears you can use option #1 above. If, however, there were multiple speakers on the screen and you only want to remove the former employee from the video, the video will need to be edited.

Solution - you can request a manual edit by utilizing an Augmented AI credit.

A related scenario occurs when there are multiple speakers in a video and you only have permission to use footage of some speakers but not all. Typically, this happens when you receive footage from an event where speakers from different companies participated.
