Manually Add Line Breaks for Japanese and Chinese Subtitles
When translating subtitles into Japanese or Simplified Chinese, you can now manually control where subtitle lines break. This helps improve readability and ensures subtitles appear exactly how you want them.
By adding the #line-break tag, you can override the default subtitle formatting. Normally, subtitle text is split at sentence boundaries and then into segments of approximately 20 characters.
How to add a manual line break:
- Log in to your account.
- In your home page, click the video title you want to edit.

- Scroll down to the Advanced section and select Localization.

- Select the Transcripts tab.

- Insert the #line-break tag wherever you want a new subtitle line to begin.

- Click Save Changes to apply your updates.

Example
これは最初の行です。#line-break これは次の行です。
The subtitle will display as:
これは最初の行です。
これは次の行です。
Note: The #line-break tag is currently available only for Japanese and Simplified Chinese subtitles.
