Adding Images & B-Roll to Your Parmonic Videos

Enhancing your videos with images and b-roll is a powerful way to reinforce key points, improve engagement, and create more dynamic visual storytelling. In Parmonic, you can easily add or replace visuals directly from your video transcript.

This guide walks through how to add images or b-roll to a video moment using the Moments editor.

Access the Moment Editor

• Navigate to your video in Parmonic.
• Under Key moments, click Edit all or select Add moment.

• Choose the moment you’d like to Enhance and click on the "Enhance" button.

Insert or Replace a Visual

• Under the Enhance section of your Moment, you can choose to either Insert a visual or Replace a visual.
  • To insert a visual, click anywhere within the transcript. The Insert visual button will appear, allowing you to add an image or video at that point in the Moment.

• To replace a visual, highlight the section of transcript text where you’d like the new image or video to appear. This will replace the existing visual for that selected portion of the Moment.

• After selecting Insert or Replace, choose whether you’d like to add an image or a video.

Add Images*

Under the Images tab, you can choose from three sources:

• Upload
  • Upload PNG or JPEG files directly from your computer.
• My images
  • Reuse images previously uploaded to your image asset library.
• Stock images
  • Search millions of royalty-free stock images available within Parmonic.

Add B-Roll Videos*

Switch to the Videos tab to add b-roll:

• Upload
  • Upload MP4 video files from your computer.
• My videos
  • Reuse videos already stored in your video asset library.
• Stock videos
  • Search royalty-free stock b-roll clips.

*Once selected, the video will play during the timing defined by the transcript selection.

Save Your Changes

After adding or updating visuals:

• Review the moment preview on the right side.
• Click Save in the top-right corner to apply your changes.

Your updated visuals will now appear in the final moment, trailer, or published video experience.

*Parmonic applies built-in timing logic that automatically aligns the duration of the visual with the portion of transcript you’ve selected. Images and b-roll can only play for the length of the highlighted text, so longer video clips may need to be trimmed or applied across a larger transcript selection.

You may need to experiment slightly with your transcript selection to achieve the desired visual timing, especially when working with longer b-roll clips.
