How to Use the Parmonic AI-Generated Outline to Create Moments
Parmonic’s AI Outline feature provides a structured breakdown of your long-form video content. This outline includes a one-paragraph summary, topics, subtopics, notable quotes, statistics, and any people, products, or companies mentioned.
This guide walks you through how to use the topics and subtopics from that outline to quickly identify, extract, and create engaging Parmonic Moments—short, high-value clips perfect for marketing, sales, training, and executive use.
On the video dashboard, you’ll find the full list of AI-generated topics and subtopics extracted from your recording. These sections represent the key themes and detailed talking points identified in your video, and they serve as the foundation for creating high-quality Moments.
How to Use the Outline Panel to Generate Moments
- Navigate to the Outline Section
On the video dashboard, navigate to the Outline section. Here, you’ll see a full list of topics and subtopics extracted from your video, each accompanied by a timestamp. This layout gives you clear visibility into how your video is organized.
- Select the Topic or SubTopic You Want to Turn Into a Moment
Each topic or subtopic represents a focused segment of the video—often a natural breakpoint that works well as a standalone snippet.
From the outline:
- Check the box next to any topic or subtopic you want to preview
- You may select one or several to compare
The preview pane on the right will update to show a short summary of that section and the transcript for additional context.
- Review the Preview and Summary
The preview window helps you understand:
- What this moment contains
- Whether any trimming or editing may be needed after creation
- Click “Create Moment”
Once you’ve selected a topic:
- Click Create Moment
- Parmonic will automatically generate a Moment based on that specific section
- Edit and Finalize the Moment
After the Moment is created, you can:
- Trim or refine the moment
- Adjust captions
- Add branding templates
- Remove filler words
- Update the title or description
