GEO/AEO for Videos

ChatGPT and other AI chatbots / AI search engines are becoming an increasingly important channel to be seen (and cited) on.

We will be enhancing Parmonic embed codes with GEO/AEO enhancements so your video content can be understood by LLMs that power AI search and chat engines like ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity/Gemini, etc.

You will be able to view (and edit) what is published to AI bots for each video.

Feature details and background:

When AI bots (like ChatGPT) visit your website, they scrape text and use it to form an understanding of your content and answer questions.

But AI bots (and even Google) don't parse videos. At most, they look at video metadata.

So video content becomes the biggest gap between what you say and what AI bots understand about you.

Parmonic's AI parses videos to understand them and suggest key moments. We can now generate summaries and FAQs that make it easy for AI bots to understand your video content.

Our engine will automatically build the FAQs and display them to you so you can review and edit them before publishing.

Once you publish, our engine will do two things -

Display the FAQs as text on the webpage to make it easy for AI and search bots to read it.
Include relevant information in the embed code as video metadata.

(Note that the Parmonic embed code that you use will still stay the same; the metadata is added in JSON-LD format and is only visible to the bots or if you view the embed code using your browser's Developer Tools).

This feature is useful for public videos - videos that you want the world (your audience, AI bots) to know about. You should not use this feature for videos that you do not want to tell the world about.

There is no change in our data privacy policies. Your content is not used by us to train our AI models, and is not surfaced to AI bots. When you use this new feature, a summary and FAQs from your video will be generated and published as part of the Parmonic embed code. These will be visible to search and AI bots (like any other content on a webpage).
