Role-based Onboarding

Your role at your company will determine how you participate in the Parmonic onboarding process.

Leadership/Strategic Roles

Adopting Parmonic also means embracing the philosophy of creating derivative content from videos and empowering colleagues who are not video professionals with a self-service tool.

It is very important to set up clear guidance on what inputs will be processed in Parmonic, what outputs will be used, who the users will be and what internal workflows will be used (or need to be created).

Goal = communicate the strategy of derivative content and DIY video editing to your team.

Some times it takes a month or two (or a quarter) to formulate everything as your teams get exposed to the tool and define their use cases.

Content Owner Roles

Parmonic creates outputs from input videos that you upload into it. If you are a Content Owner, formulate a plan around which video types you will upload into Parmonic, how often will you generate those video recordings and how you will process them in Parmonic.

Goal = learn how to process your content in Parmonic

Campaign Owner Roles

If you will be using outputs generated in Parmonic, formulate a plan around the channels where you will be using those outputs. Will you download outputs as files or will you extract embed codes from Parmonic to use on your website, email, etc.

Goal = learn how to use different outputs from Parmonic

In some cases the same individual is the Content and Campaign Owner.

Marketing Ops

If your team will be integrating Parmonic with your Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, Eloqua) or other products like Google Analytics, you may have to setup the integration, reporting, etc.. Automating landing page publishing in Marketo/Hubspot also requires the Parmonic integration. We have detailed docs and instructions on setting up the integrations and you can request a set-up call with our team for live help.

Goal = set-up integrations and reporting

Brand / Creative team

All the outputs from Parmonic are brandable. If you have created brand templates for things like social media videos (bumpers), in-video cards, subtitles, landing page headers/footers, etc. you can configure those in Parmonic (or send your brand book/assets to our Help team).

Goal = configure brand assets that can be used by the team

Training & Learning Team

Parmonic is heavily used by L&D teams to make videos consumable. If you are a part of this team, learn about how training videos can be parsed in Parmonic and how you can use the outputs in your L&D systems.

Sales Enablement Team

If your marketing team is using Parmonic to generate more compelling content for the Sales team, learn how you can make it easy to serve that content to your sellers in their tools (sales email and sales enablement tools). Understand and formulate a workflow around publishing outputs from Parmonic for easy consumption by sales teams.

IT

If your marketing or L&D team wants to set up Single Sign On or any other integrations with products managed by IT, you may need to get involved and support that effort. Integrations are easy and we provide documentation as well as live support.

Goal = set up integrations / SSO
