AI Voiceover Translations / Dubbing

We've been offering high-quality subtitle translations for companies that have global audiences. We are working on adding AI Voiceover Translations (Dubbing).

How it'll work?

  1. Upload/import a video
  2. Choose transcript quality (AI or Augmented AI) for the English transcription
  3. Select foreign-languages for subtitles and dubbing

  1. (Optional) Review and edit the translation in Parmonic

Outcome: The audio will be 'dubbed' into chosen foreign language(s) and viewers can choose to hear the audio in their preferred language in addition to viewing the subtitles in their preferred language while watching the video.

Notes:

  • Parmonic's interactive video player will support multiple languages so content owners can publish it once and let their global audiences watch the video in their preferred language.
  • You will be able to export dubbed videos from Parmonic for each language (exported MP4 file will only have one language).
  • If the original video has background music while the speakers are talking, that music may not carry over to the dubbed video.
  • AI Voice selection - ability to choose an AI voice or rely on AI to find a match.
  • No voice cloning - for legal compliance* and risk mitigation we will not be supporting voice cloning (see details below).
  • Option to display 'Dubbed with AI' on the video.
  • This is an add-on and will consume Augmented AI credits (1 per video per language; for videos longer than 1-hour credits will be charged per video-hour). If your use case primary involves dubbing short videos, we will work with you to accommodate a sensible credit model.

*Why we are choosing to not support Voice Cloning?

AI Voice Cloning is a powerful and risky capability. While it would be valuable to easily fix a misspoken word without re-recording the speaker, we've determined that providing this feature will create significant compliance obstacles for our users especially those at large companies given the potential for misuse. At this time, we will not support voice cloning.
