Marketo Marketing Automation Connector Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Summary

1. Login as Admin to Marketo & Parmonic
2. Create a Role in Marketo with API access permissions
3. Create a User in Marketo with API Only access and assign Role created in step #2
4. Create a Service in Marketo to receive Parmonic's data
5. Get Client Id & Secret from Marketo Service created in step #4
6. Input Marketo Service's Client Id & Secret in Parmonic's Integrations Settings
7. Connect!

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Login to Marketo and Parmonic by someone who has Admin Access to both systems. (best practice to open both systems in separate tabs in the same browser window to allow copy/paste)

2. Create a Role in Marketo

Admin > Users & Roles > Roles > "New Role"

3. Create a User in Marketo
Admin > Users & Roles > Users > "Invite New User"

Check the Parmonic Role and API Only option

Click "Send" to create user

4. Create a Service in Marketo

Admin > LaunchPoint > New > New Service

Name the service "Parmonic" as custom service, and select the API user created in step #3

5. Get Client Id & Secret from Marketo Service

Parmonic will appear in installed services, click "view details"

You will need  to copy/paste the "Client Id" and "Client Secret" into Parmonic's Integrations Settings Page in Step #6


6. Input Marketo Service's Client Id & Secret in Parmonic's Integrations Settings
Parmonic: Settings > Integrations Tab > click "connect" Marketo

Get Munchkin Account ID from Marketo:
Admin > Munchkin> Looking for "Munchkin Account ID", Copy/Paste in "Connect Marketo" in Parmonic


7. Connect!
After 20-30 seconds, you will see a "Congratulations! Connection Successful" message
